Summer may be wrapping up, but there are still a few important summer events set to take place that should be on everyone’s agenda. At Denny Menholt Billings Nissan, we’re counting down the days until the region's biggest summer event — the MontanaFair — comes to town.

Taking place this year from August 11-19, our employees are anxiously awaiting the mountain of delicious fair food, family-friendly and fun carnival rides, agricultural exhibitions, and daily entertainment!

Whether you’re a consistent MontanaFair goer, or this is your first time in Billings, keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the 2017 edition of the MontanaFair.

Fair History and Logistics

The MontanaFair has a lot of history, with the first fair taking place more than 100 years ago. It’s changed a bit since 1916, but it’s quickly gone on to become the region’s most popular event, attracting around 250,000 visitors each year.

This year’s MontanaFair will once again take place at MetraPark in Billings. The spacious 189-acre property provides plenty of parking and and enough room to walk around without worrying about tripping over all the fair goers.

Where to Go and Who to See

There’s something for everyone at the MontanaFair! Lasting for nine whole days, the MontanaFair gives you plenty of opportunities to attend a wide variety of events.

• August 12: Paramore with special guest Julien Baker (7 p.m.)
• August 15: Supercross (6 p.m.)
• August 16: Kids Day (noon-5 p.m. kids get in free!)
• August 18: Veterans Day (all veterans with military ID get in free!); All-Star Stunt Dogs (4:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m.)
• August 17-19 Yellowstone River Roundup PRCA Rodeo (7 p.m.)
